Continuing Education Offering – May Mastery!

Are you a court interpreter looking to enhance your skills and specialize in certain areas? Whether you’re working with indigenous communities, navigating the complexities of the judicial arena, or facilitating communication in sensitive contexts like foster care or divorce proceedings, specialized training is essential to meet the unique challenges of interpretation.

I am partnering with interpreter extraordinaire Frida Blum to teach several continuing education courses troughout 2024. Mostly geared towards court interpreters in several Western states, the course offering includes ethics—delving into the role of the interpreter and the boundaries we must have in and out of courts—, indigenous peoples of Latin America, Mexican proverbs and expressions, and many more. We have planned several weekends along the year to offer different dates for colleagues. The closest date is May 24 to 26, 2024 for the online live classes. Several non instructor-led courses are also offered as a package with the instructor-led classes or individually. You can also mix and match! All courses are approved for continuing education (CE) / Court Interpreter Minimum Continuing Education (CIMCE) in California, Nevada, and Oregon. Pending approval for Washington, Arizona, and Idaho.
