We are excited to announce the launch of our new course series, “CAT Tools for Interpreters.” This innovative series of workshops is dedicated to learning most of the CAT Tools available to translators and interpreters, more specifically setting up and utilizing the general features of Interpretbank and Wordfast Pro, comprehensive tools designed to elevate efficiency and accuracy.
Course Descriptions
Terminology Extraction and Management
In this workshop, participants will engage in practical exercises focusing on the creation and usage of glossaries within Interpretbank. The course will emphasize key features such as:
- Speech Recognition: Leverage voice inputs to create and manage glossaries efficiently.
- Translation Suggestions: Utilize AI-driven suggestions to enhance translation accuracy.
- Fast Search: Quickly locate terms within your glossary.
- Automatic Term Extraction: Automatically identify and extract terms from texts.
- Automatic Glossary Creation: Generate glossaries with minimal manual input.
- Memorization: Use built-in tools to memorize important terms and phrases.
- Web App: Access and share glossaries with colleagues through the cloud.
This course is specially designed for translators and interpreters who are new to CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, particularly Terminology Management tools. In addition to Interpretbank, the course also explores other CAT tools and AI platforms, including Interplex, Glossaries2Go, ChatGPT, and various terminology extraction methods.

Wordfast Pro Training
This comprehensive training session is dedicated to equipping participants with the foundational skills required to effectively set up and utilize Wordfast Pro, version 5.19 or higher. The course will focus on hands-on exercises to create and manage glossaries and translation memories, along with other essential resources. It is designed for translators and interpreters who are either new to Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, specifically Wordfast Pro, or who have been using the software without any formal training.
